E-Newsletter Edition V: The Philosopher's Den

E-Newsletter Edition V: The Philosopher's Den

Hello dear art friends! I hope that things are well with each of you.

What a busy past few months it has been! Snuck in amongst the more practical ventures I've been dipping into recently, perhaps my most favourite piece of work I have created is this below, 'The Philosopher's Den'. It is the Headquarters for the leader of Erlenmeyer, Consul Amber {Her Owlness}. You can see her roosting room and her various studies and observatories where she does her reading and teaching.

In this particular drawing you can see a ceremonial scene taking place - it is McAllister introducing Consul Amber's apprentice, who has finally been identified (by way of a special mark to denote their destiny in this matter of course).

I am planning on releasing this very detailed drawing as a puzzle next year, and in fact, this will be a series of twelve pieces, as there are twelve cities in Erlenmeyer and each has its own consul member and HQ. I'll keep you posted ;)

World of Erlenmeyer Shop in Mosman, Sydney

A special and quite unexpected announcement here - Erlenmeyer can now be found in its own little shop in Mosman (here is it is on Google Maps if you'd like to come visit!). The shop houses my full collection of cards and gifts, including framed pieces, and also functions as a studio for me to work on new illustrations for upcoming projects. The shop is surrounded by a community of small businesses, and is only a ten minute walk down to beautiful Balmoral Beach, or a 10 minute bus ride to Taronga Zoo! Do come and visit if you find yourself on the North Shore :) I have missed all my customers from the Rocks so much, it would be lovely to reconnect with you.

Open Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 4pm

CLOSING Saturday 6th March :)

Artisans' Nest ~ Handmade Collective in Newtown

Come and visit our beautiful shop located in the heart of Newtown at 216 King Street! Artisans' Nest is a handmade collective - every space in store is dressed and stocked by a uniquely talented local Sydney maker. (click here to see map ~ in January the shop is moving close to Newtown train station; I'll keep you updated).

2020 has changed the way we shop; we now have a preference for staying close to home and we have witnessed a return the high street! With many outdoor markets experiencing reduced operations, two friends and I got together to create a retail shop front located in Sydney's Inner West, with the hopes that it would facilitate sales and exposure for not only our brands, but about 30 of our friends from local markets such as the Rocks, Paddington, Glebe, Makers & Shakers, Finders Keepers and more.

Here are some photos - I hope you will be tempted to come and visit when you can! We will be so happy to help you find the perfect gift for someone you know, or treat for yourself! To see more here are some links to our social media profiles:

We were recently reviewed by Broadsheet too so if you'd like to read their take on it here's the link :)
