E-Newsletter Edition X: Erlenmeyer returns to The Rocks Markets

Hello dearest Art Friends!

I hope this blog post finds you all well and happy! I am delighted to be back in sunny Sydney and have been busily setting up my store again with the help of my trusty mascot, McAllister the Raccoon (who says an enthusiastic hello and twitches his whiskers at you).

I return from the beloved and vibrant Bristol in the UK, rejuvenated after a chilly spell in the Northern hemisphere. In order to keep warm I did lots of dancing and invested heavily in thermal clothing, and spent a good amount of time indoors with a heater, working diligently on my encyclopedia about Erlenmeyer, which I am pleased to report is coming along nicely.

My most recent piece is called The Tree of Learning, as seen above and in the blog image. It shows how little animals start their respective journeys of independence, beginning with the staples of language and food, then continues with a relatable muddling through history, context and self-awareness, which flourishes into self-expression via the creative arts, after which they finally graduate to lessons from McAllister himself about Gaia's Rituals and how everything came to be. This, of course, is just an example of one of the local Learning Trees in the city of Erlenmeyer - there are multiple in all twelve animal cities.

In between my Bristol chapter and returning home, I spent a few months in the states staying with my favourite aunt and uncle. My aunt, Anna Evans, is a both a politician and a poet and I am immensely proud to be her niece! Anna is also the editor of a web journal devoted to formal and contemporary poetry by women, called Mezzo Cammin. Anna kindly invited me to be the featured artist for this issue, which you can view here, and if you are poetically-inclined you can read through the beautiful works included in this journal and the archive too!

Going forward you can find me, McAllister and the rest of the Erlenmeyer world on Saturdays 10-5pm and Sundays 10-4pm at the Rocks Markets in Sydney.

Thank you for following my journey and I hope that I might have the pleasure of seeing you sometime at some market or another! Wishing you each a beautiful day and weekend ahead ;)

Kindest, Avi xxx
